Spanish Placement Test

You do not need to take this placement test if you:

have no knowledge of Spanish. (You should enrol in SPAN101.)
have completed SPAN101 or SPAN103 and SPAN102, or all Spanish units at the Beginner level (the 1st-year Spanish units) in the last two years. (You should enrol in SPAN201.)
have completed SPAN 202 or all Spanish units at the Intermediate level (the 2nd-year Spanish units) in the last two years. (You should enrol in SPAN301.)
have completed SPAN101, SPAN201, SPAN301 or equivalent in the two years. (You should enrol in the next higher level unit, SPAN102, SPAN202 or SPAN302.)

You must complete the placement test if any of the above does not apply to you, and/or you already have some knowledge of the language.

This online placement test is designed to assess your current Spanish language proficiency level so you will be placed in the most appropriate level.
