Unfortunately, there is no parking available, street parking is metered and very limited; Erby Place carpark is 5 minutes away but can be costly for long stays. Westfield Parramatta is 2 blocks away with 2 hours free parking.

Parramatta station is a 25-30 minute train ride from Sydney’s Central Station (if you are flying in, there is a connection to Central from Sydney Airport and a short platform change to Parramatta, only about a 10 minute journey). NSW Transport has a handy app, TripView, available to help with public transport timetables.

There are also various options via bus and ferry.

Accommodation

The closest hotels are Parkroyal, Novotel Holiday Inn and Mantra, with Meriton and Fiori both offering serviced apartments.

We highly recommend using Wotif, Booking.com and also AirBnB to source your accommodation.

Alternatively, we do have a reciprocal agreement with Western Sydney University (WSU), located at Rydalmere. It is approximately $100 per night for ‘short stay’ accommodation. The accommodation is of a really good standard and the shuttle bus service that the WSU campus operates brings anyone in from their campus and drops them off at their Parramatta city campus in George Street – about a 2 minute walk from UNE Sydney.

Food and Shopping

UNE Sydney is in the heart of Parramatta. Westfield Parramatta is 2 blocks away and is huge! ‘Eat Street’ is Parramatta’s most popular eating hub, with restaurants and cafés only a block or two away on Church and Phillip Streets. It is a vibrant showcase of the various cultures that abound in Parramatta and well worth the visit! Check out what is available here.

Even better, the Parramatta Farmers Markets are on every Wednesday and there is an astounding and yummy array of food to choose from.

UNE Sydney has tea, coffee and chilled filtered water available for all its students and visitors, as well as a small fridge and microwave, if needed.

IT Available

While you are at UNE Sydney, you will have access to our high-speed network via eduroam. You can also use our printer by uploading credit to your UNE Student account, smartboards, laptops and desktop computers.

We highly recommend brining your laptop with you onsite to use for your intensive.

Student ID Cards

While you won’t actually need an ID card while you are visiting us, it is a good idea if you want to print. The application form is online and Security will send it to your nominated address in the mail.

Please note, cards are not processed at UNE Sydney.
