About the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences

Study, courses and research

Our courses explore the foundations of culture and society, how humans interact with each other and the built environment, and how people communicate and express ideas.

We have a long history of teaching many of our subject areas, and as such, we are very experienced and highly regarded in Australia and overseas for many of our courses including languages, literature, history and archaeology.

Most of our courses can be studied online or by distance education using up-to-date technologies, ensuring a quality learning experience where you are supported every step of the way, no matter where you are.

We offer study levels from undergraduate diplomas and bachelor degrees to higher degrees of postgraduate coursework and research. More about our courses.

Specialised groups and networks across the school encourage networking, collaboration and information sharing between our students, researchers, academics and the community. These groups and networks help ensure our school is a supportive and active research environment. More about our research.
