Dr Neil Durrant

Dr Neil Durrant is an experienced higher education leader with a diverse background in strategic and operational management. He brings a strong vision for effective and efficient professional service delivery that supports academic excellence and institutional growth.

He has held senior roles across several universities, including Macquarie University and Western Sydney University, where he led initiatives in data-informed strategy, performance management, and organisational transformation. Neil is particularly skilled in developing business intelligence and information management practices that translate complex data into meaningful insights for strategic decision-making.

Holding degrees in economics, linguistics, and philosophy, Neil combines analytical and humanistic perspectives in his approach to leadership. He is passionate about the evolving role of universities within political and economic landscapes and the power of education to create lasting social impact.
