Scholarships and other financial support

Scholarships can help you with the costs of studying in Australia. Undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for Australian Government scholarships. If you study a postgraduate research degree, UNE offers research scholarships as well.

Accommodation scholarships

International students commencing studies at UNE Armidale in 2025 may be eligible for an accommodation scholarship in one of UNE’s residential colleges. The scholarship covers accommodation fees for a single student for a maximum of two (2) academic trimesters, valued up to AUD$4,500. Please note that Accommodation Scholarships are not available to couples or students with families. Australian Government Scholarships

Australian Scholarships is an Australian Government initiative to build partnerships and increase mutual understanding, knowledge, and innovation in the Asia Pacific region.

Australian Government Scholarships includes all of the existing scholarship programs managed by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).

Bursaries for International Students

UNE offers eligible commencing international students a bursary in the form of a 20% fee reduction of the published 2025 annual international tuition fees for their first year of study. Terms and conditions apply.

All available bursaries for international students enrolling in the Master of Nursing Practice (Preregistration) program at UNE Armidale in Trimester 3, 2025 have now been fully allocated.

Postgraduate Research Scholarships

UNE offers a number of substantial research scholarships to postgraduate students studying research-based degrees including discipline-specific research, targeted research projects, and others that have broader eligibility criteria.
