Italian Placement Test

You do not need to take this placement test if you:

• have no knowledge of  Italian. (You should enrol in ITAL101.)
• have obtained a pass of 70% or better in HSC Italian Continuers or HSC Italian Extension or equivalent level of knowledge (You should enrol at 200 level.)
• have completed ITAL102 or all  Italian units at the Beginner level (the 1st-year Italian units) in the last two years. (You should enrol in ITAL201.)
• have completed ITAL 202 or all Italian units at the Intermediate level (the 2nd-year  Italian units) in the last two years. (You should enrol in ITAL301.)
• have completed ITAL101, ITAL201, ITAL301, or equivalent in the last two years. (You should enrol in the next higher level unit, ITAL102, ITAL202 or ITAL302.)

You must complete the placement test if any of the above does not apply to you, and/or you already have some knowledge of the language.

Please email Dr Giulia Torello-Hill (gtorello@une.edu.au) or the administrative team of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (hassadmin@une.edu.au) to have your current Italian language proficiency level assessed so you will be placed in the most appropriate level.
