What facilities are available?

The UNE Taree has the following services for students to use:

  • Computers with touch-screen technology, with all Microsoft programs
  • Super-fast, free & unlimited internet and wi-fi
  • Printing/scanning/copying
  • Secure after-hours swipe-card access from 6.30am –10.30pm, seven days a week (including during trimester breaks and public holidays)
  • Kitchen, bathroom facilities
  • Quiet study rooms and private study spaces
  • Room for student meetings & group collaboration
  • Video conferencing for lectures, tutorials and workshops
  • Lots of free parking
  • Staff available Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm to assist with advice & support and to answer all your questions about studying at UNE

Facilities include:

  • 3 x small private study rooms for quiet study, watching visual materials or small group study- please see information reagrding room bookings
  • Shared/open plan study areas
  • 11 x small computer labs with desktops connected to the UNE platform
  • 1 x large screen for group sessions
  • video tech for zoom lectures, tutorials and workshops

All study areas are open during staffed hours and after hours via student ID swipe card access 6:30am - 10:30pm seven days a week.

The UNE Study Centre facilities are sometimes booked for UNE or external functions and may not be always available for student use. Rooms that are unavailable will be clearly signed and we ask students to avoid these areas during these times.

To ensure students have equal access to the Centre’s facilities, on-going bookings (e.g., weekly or fortnightly) cannot be secured. Study rooms in the Centre are available on a first come, first served basis. Bookings will be considered for requirements such as online exams, tutorials, or intensive schools, but should be made at least a week in advance. We encourage student to email tareesc@une.edu.au to secure room bookings at least one to two weeks prios to your scheduled exam time.

Secure after-hour access - between 6.30am - 10.30pm

After-hours self-swipe card access is available to UNE students with an activated ID card.  After-hours access includes weekends, trimester breaks and public holidays. Need after-hours access? Contact us.
