Bush Tracks: Informing the School of Education Research Networks Future

A School of Education seminar presented on August 21st, 2013 by Associate Professor Judy Miller

As an early career researcher, and an 'expert' in motor development and coordination levels of primary school-aged children, being asked to join a collective of researchers around rural education seemed to be an unlikely event. But in 2004 this is exactly what happened!
A personal account of my Bush Tracks research experience is provided as a way of thinking about how individual research agendas may be transformed and inspired by the network approach to research. The features of the model are outlined and the advantages for the personal, group and institution are presented.
