Interculturality and Education
Interculturality and Education Strategic Research Group
This research group focuses on investigating interculturality as both a goal and process in education, in particular international education. We foreground the use of applied linguistics and sociological approaches to educational policies, practices and student/teacher experiences to generate insights into the intersectionality of language, culture and education; engagement; internationalisation of higher education; student international mobility; intercultural understanding; and emerging issues such as transculturality, self-formation and agency and sustainability of international education. The group provides an academic collective to foster and support interdisciplinary research and global collaboration in transcultural education.
