Plus, eligible first-year students can enjoy Trimester 1 2026 on-campus accommodation completely free with UNE's Settle in for Free offer, covering rent and utilities so you can focus on settling into study without the extra costs (terms and conditions apply).
All of this means that you get every opportunity to reach your full potential and get the very best start, plus some great memories along the way.
Now that you’ve received your offer/s from Early Entry, you can decide if you'd like to accept, defer, or decline your offer/s. More information about these offer response options is outlined below. This year your Early Entry outcome email will show you the course/s that you applied for (your preferences) and the course/s that UNE could offer you for each of those preferences. This also means that UNE may be making many students up to three offers if they were successful in obtaining offers to all three of their course preferences. All students obtained at least one offer. The information below may help to answer any questions you may have about your offer and what to do next. You can also contact our friendly Future Student Team on 1800 818 865 if you need help. Accept your offer by enrolling online. Enrolments for 2026 are open so you can enrol in your course NOW! Read more about how to enrol in the Accept and Enrol section of this page further below. You can also defer multiple offers - except the Bachelor of Nursing which cannot be deferred. See more about deferring below. Deferring means that you keep your offer and can commence your studies in a later intake/Trimester. To request to defer please complete this online form. If you wish to defer, it is important that you request your deferral as soon as possible and ideally by no later than the Trimester start dates which is 23 February 2026. *Please note that the Bachelor of Nursing cannot be deferred. If you don't wish to take your offer and study with UNE please contact us via AskUNE to let us know. We can record on the offer that you have declined it. Telling us that you want to decline your offer also helps ensure that we will not continue to contact you about that offer in the future. If you have received an on campus offer and wish to change this to online, you will need to contact us via AskUNE to request a change of study mode. Please include your student number and the course you want to change study mode in within your enquiry. All offers are made for on campus study, except for a few courses which are only available online: the Foundation Program, Diploma in Community Welfare and Wellbeing, Bachelor of Community Services, Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology and the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours. If you change to online study, please be aware that some online courses have mandatory intensive schools. This is most often for courses in areas such as Science and Health. If your course has mandatory intensive schools you will need to attend these at the Armidale, NSW campus. Additionally, some courses have face-to-face professional experience (or work experience) requirements regardless of whether you study the course on campus or online. For example, if you have a teaching offer you will need to complete professional experience in a school. You can check the units (subjects) in your course to see whether these have any intensive schools or professional experience, or if you are unsure contact the Future Student Team for advice. If you have received an offer for the Foundation Program, Diploma in Community Welfare and Wellbeing, Bachelor of Community Services, Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology or the Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours these courses are only available to study online. This means you do not study the courses on campus. As an online student you will need to select the online study mode when enrolling in your units (subjects). If you have an offer for online study you should check whether any of the units (subjects) in your course have mandatory intensive schools which are held on campus. Why UNE makes some Alternative Offers in Early Entry Some Early Entry applicants are made an alternative offer to one or more of their preferred courses. When you apply each of your preference/s are assessed separately on the entry criteria of the UNE Schools who deliver each course and best understand the kind of academic preparation a student will need to succeed in that specific course. Any alternative offers were made after careful consideration of the information supplied and have occurred in cases where either: Your alternate offer will often be either: for a course with a lower entry standard but in a similar discipline area helping you study some of the content and can help scaffold your learning; or an enabling/foundation course which is designed to equip you with more of the foundational knowledge essential for successful study. *Please note, some courses such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Teaching and Social Work may have higher English Language Requirements which students will also need to meet. A small number of students who did not meet these higher English Language Requirements may have been offered a place in alternative course with standard English language requirements that they do meet. Using your Alternative Offer as a Pathway into your Preferred Course If you obtained alternative offers only, we can help you understand your pathways into your preferred course. Alternative offers can still provide you with the opportunity to progress into your preferred course in a later intake – often after the successful completion of one trimester of full-time study^. It may be possible that some of the units you choose in your alternate offer can later count towards your preferred UNE course. Once your ATAR is released you may be eligible for your preferred course via direct application to UNE, UAC or QTAC. UNE offers an ATAR Adjustment Scheme for applicants from regional, rural or remote areas which could add 5 points to your ATAR when you apply. The Future Student Team can help you understand how you can use your offer for an alternate course to get you where you need to go, so please give us a call on 1800 818 865 or email us at earlyentry@une.edu.au and we will be happy to help! ^ Applicants still need to meet higher English Language Requirements of selected courses. Applicants with Offers for Some of their Preferences and Alternative Offers for Others This year many applicants have been able to obtain to one (or more) course preference/s but they may have also still been given an alternative offer for another preference. Again alternative offers will have occurred for the reasons outlined above. We understand however that you are very likely to pursue study in the preferred course/s you were made any offer/s for as opposed to lower alternative you may have also received. Early Entry offers are made for full-time study. The only exception is the Foundation Program which is offered part-time only. Please see this AskUNE answer for information about studying full-time. Yes. All 2026 Early Entry Offers are made with the expectation that you will complete the requirements of your Australian Year 12 qualification, or a TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate, in 2025. Please note that quotas apply to the number of students studying the Bachelor of Nursing in 2026. This means that your Early Entry offer has not secured your place in the course. The student quota is filled based on the order in which students enrol into the units of the Bachelor of Nursing. Enrolments are open now. The quota can sometimes fill fast so you are encouraged to enrol as soon as possible once enrolment opens for this course so you don’t miss out. Please note that the Bachelor of Nursing cannot be deferred. Conditional Offers have been made in Early Entry for the following teaching courses (that are Initial Teacher Education courses) to ensure that applicants also submit and pass a Personal Teaching Statement: As stated in your offer letter to any of the above courses, the condition of your offer is that you must complete a personal teaching statement and submit it to UNE so that it can be assessed and passed. To meet the conditions of your offer, you'll need to register your myUNE account and complete and submit your Personal Teaching Statement to UNE ideally well before teaching commences on Monday 23 February 2026. The purpose of the personal statement is to understand your interest and motivation for teaching. The statement is made of four questions and can be submitted via this online form. Once we receive your statement and assessed it to ensure it passes you will get an email confirming that you have satisfied the conditions of your offer. If it doesn't pass you will be asked to re-attempt it. You can still accept your offer and enrol in your course whilst your personal teaching statement is being assessed but you should be aware that if you don't supply and pass this statement your offer will be withdrawn and your enrolment removed because you did not satisfy the condition of your offer. For information see the Accept and Enrol section. No. Ideally you will apply for different UNE course preferences in your UAC and UNE applications if you applied for direct Early Entry and also apply through UAC. UAC’s Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) is separate to UNE Early Entry. UNE participates in both schemes. If you have already received an offer for a course via Early Entry you do not need to receive an offer for that same course via SRS. For example, if you have an offer for the Bachelor of Business through Early Entry you do not need to get another offer for the Bachelor of Business via SRS - you can just accept your Early Entry offer. If you have applied via both UNE’s Early Entry and UAC’s Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) we recommend you contact the Future Student Team on 1800 818 865 or email us at earlyentry@une.edu.au for advice. If you received an Early Entry offer to study with UNE but have since decided that you want to study a different course, you can still apply directly to UNE or via UAC or QTAC based on your ATAR. If you are thinking about applying for a different course we recommend contacting the Future Student Team on 1800 818 865 or email us at earlyentry@une.edu.au for advice.1. Understand your offer and options
If you received multiple offers from UNE via Early Entry, you should decide which offer you are taking and accept and enrol in that course and decline the other/s.
Students wanting to study the Bachelor of Nursing must be careful about when they enrol to help secure their place within the quota. Not ready to start in 2026? - Defer your offer*
You will need to advise us of all of the offer/s you wish to defer, your student number and how long you intend to defer for. Students can usually defer for one year. On-campus students may be eligible to defer for up to two years in total but should apply one year at a time.Declining your offer
The Bachelor of Educational Studies and the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Care) are not Initial Teacher Education Courses are NOT subject to these additional personal teaching statement requirements.
UNE’s Early Entry is completely separate to the Universities Admission Centre (UAC). You do not need to put the course/s you have received an Early Entry offer for in your UAC application as you already have your offer/s from Early Entry.
If you applied in UAC for SRS then you will be notified if you were successful for any SRS courses just before the first UAC November Offer Round. SRS Offers for UNE will be released in November Round 1 (November 13th) , November Round 2 (November 27st), and December Round 1 (December 11th).
UNE offers an ATAR Adjustment Factor Scheme for applicants applying for studying with UNE on the basis of their ATAR (including non-current and current school leavers). If an applicant meets the criteria for the adjustment factor type then additional points can be applied above the applicant’s ATAR to provide an applicant's course Selection Rank. In the past these adjustment factors were known as “bonus points”. At UNE adjustment factors that are applied to admission for 2026 are capped at a maximum of 10 points.
