Indigenous Postgraduate Professional Psychology Scholarship

Background

Financial resources are a major issue impacting tertiary study for Indigenous students. This contributes to the chronic under representation of Indigenous students in post-graduate clinical psychology programs that in turn results in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander psychologists making up well under 1% of the proportion of all registered psychologists.

By offering a scholarship for each full-time year in our Clinical Psychology program at UNE, we hope to encourage, retain and support our Indigenous students on the pathway to becoming a Clinical Psychologist to address these major workforce shortages.
