Warren Prior

Bachelor of Economics (Hons) 1973 and Robb College

Warren started at UNE and Robb College in 1969. Last year, fifty years later, he raced in the UNE 12 Hours in the Piney mountain bike race, which was staged at Sport UNE. arren raced in the Mixed Pairs 40+ with his wife Lesley, and they raced six hours Saturday afternoon and six hours Sunday morning.

Lesley and Warren went to high school together and she was Warren’s partner at the 1969 Robb College Ball. After that they married different people and saw each other only once in thirty years. In 2000 Warren discovered where she lived and they've been together since then.

Warren and Lesley do ten or twelve mountain bike races each year, both solo and team events. In team events they've become known for their 'kiss' change over at the end of each lap, which some race commentators have said should be made compulsory!
