Tom Cooper

I lived on Top B in 2005-'06. My favourite memories from my days at EPC are of the friends I met there, and performing in EPC musical productions.

Since graduation, I’ve worked in a variety of professional roles at UNE, including teaching English and Academic Skills to International Students. For many years I was also a volunteer in the NSW State Emergency Service. I currently work in the International Office at UNE, traveling to faraway countries including Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Colombia (and everywhere between!) to recruit international students for UNE.

EPC is a big part of my story – my parents actually met while they were residents at EPC; my brother lived there before me and now my wife, Lyndal, works for EPC as the Office Manager. I joined the Senior Common Room Committee a couple of years ago and I enjoy mentoring young adults, as well as helping the college community with big events such as the Musical, Coast Run and Fashion Parade.

Editor’s Note: Tom’s expertise and involvement in the 2019 Musical Band was very much appreciated. Many hours were spent practicing and mentoring our band members. Thank you Tom!
