I graduated from UNE in 1997 having completed a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education, majoring in Languages and HSIE. I commenced teaching in NSW in Dubbo at the Dubbo School of Distance Education. I relocated to the Central Coast of NSW for 6 years and taught at Kincumber High School. I then spent the next five years in Wollongong teaching at a variety of schools.

In 2012, I retrained through UNE via Distance Education and obtained a Masters of Primary Teaching and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education. I received the UNE award in 2012.

In 2017, I relocated to QLD. I continued teaching and tried my hand at other jobs such as Disability Support Worker and Before School/After School care Coordinator. I have taught in a remote indigenous community, special schools and Christian schools. In 2019, I was awarded a Chaplaincy Certificate through Scripture Union.

I am currently working at Jubilee Christian College (a day school and distance education school), as a Curriculum Writer for Primary Maths. One thing I love about my current role is that I get to work from home. My committed and successful career reflects my deep understanding that the curriculum we provide for children needs to be balanced, challenging, enjoyable, spiritual and relevant in terms of meeting the needs of all students. I am dedicated to providing the best possible educational opportunities for all children.

I am also an active member of my local church (Calvary) and serve in Kids Ministry.

I have always had the passion of teaching young children, observing their academic, social, emotional and spiritual development.
