Collection of personal information

For employment with the University of New England, personal and health information is collected with the primary purpose of managing your employment at UNE and to facilitate the use of UNE's services and facilities (e.g. information technology resources).  UNE is committed to ensuring any personal and health information is collected, stored, accessed and used in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), The Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule 2015, and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW). Should you wish to organise an alternative method to supply this information please submit an Ask Heather Request. Failure to provide documentation may impact our ability to effectively process a request. The provision of information or documentation which is false or misleading may invalidate your UNE employment.

Access and Correction

You can make a request in writing to access your personal information held by UNE, subject to any relevant legislative exceptions. We endeavour to ensure all information is correct. Please submit an Ask Heather Request to facilitate corrections or to obtain access to the personal information held.
