Superannuation

new staff member’s Letter of Offer contains a link to a Superannuation Choice form which enables you to choose a fund for your UNE Superannuation Contributions. If you do not select a fund, UNE will use an ATO database to check if you have an existing super fund. If a fund is recorded, UNE will send contributions to that fund. If the new staff member does not have a Stapled Super Fund, UNE will send superannuation contributions to our partnered fund; UniSuper, and the default product will be Accumulation 1.

UNE’s Partnered Fund - UniSuper

UniSuper is the University of New England’s partnered super fund for employees. They’re Australia’s dedicated super fund for people working in the higher education and research sector.

For over 38 years, UniSuper has worked alongside Australia’s universities and research institutes to deliver high quality, value-for-money retirement savings products and services. In addition to competitive fees, their profits are not paid to shareholders.

On Campus Services

The on-campus services provided at UNE make it quick and easy for staff to get their personal 'to-do list' ticked off each day. During your lunch break you can always find a lovely place to sit outside, or you can head over to the cafe or restaurant with colleagues and friends.

Services include a hair dressernews agentpost office, dry cleaning and a general store. So, whether you need some milk, a toothbrush, or some chocolate, you can find it on campus.

UNE boasts a restaurant, brasserie, cafebars, a bookshop, and a radio station, and SportUNE as a short stroll down the hill for a game of tennis or a lunch-time swim/gym session.

Child Care

UNE's on campus childcare, Yarm Gwanga Preschool and Early Education Centre, provides a nurturing, sensitive and educational environment which can be salary packaged and offers convenient childcare at your workplace.

The centre provides care for children aged 8 weeks to 5 years and operates between 8.00am and 5:45pm. Half-day care is also available. Morning and Afternoon Tea are provided. Vacation Care during School Holiday periods is also available.

There are ATM and EFTPOS facilities on campus.

Convenient Parking

Parking is available across campus just a short walk from any UNE building and is reasonably priced at $92 for an annual permit. Safety and Security patrol campus 24/7.

Parking Permits are available for purchase on an annual, trimester or daily/weekly basis and can be purchased online.

Bus routes run regularly and many staff ride or walk to work each day.
