Sophie Harris

Home town: Mungindi

Degree: Bachelor of Laws

I’m from a small town on the NSW/QLD boarder called Mungindi, where I live on a farm with my mum, dad, two younger brothers, younger sister, four dogs, twelve chickens, and one cat.

I went to a school Abbotsleigh in Sydney and took a very varied gap year in 2017, where I spent 3 months in France, 3 months in the northern Territory on a station, 3 months working in Thredbo as a ski instructor, then another 3 months working in Japan!

Now, I am in my third year of law, and am the deputy Senior Academic Advisor at St Albert’s College. I currently work part time for a law firm called McCabe Curwood in Sydney, as a paralegal, and plan to continue working there full-time next year.

Henry Hickson

Home town: Boomi

Degree: Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Business

I grew up on a mixed farming enterprise in North Western NSW near Boomi. I have always had an interest in Agriculture, especially the livestock industry and hope that my studies at UNE will assist me in exploring the opportunities the Agriculture industry will present in the future. I’m also a passionate sportsman, with some of my favourite sports including cricket, tennis, rugby and recently golf.
