Emergency Warden Training
Emergency Warden Training
The WHS Team and EBE are responsible for the management of Emergency Wardens.
Emergency Warden Training is delivered in two parts:
Part A
A self- paced online Warden Training which uses a handbook (PDF, 1544.67 KB) as reference and a video to enable you to answer the mandatory questions.
- The assessment is completed in Keep Safe and is available under your dashboard as part of "Complete Other Functions".
- Open the handbook (PDF, 1544.67 KB) and watch the video; then complete the Assessment on Keep Safe. You will receive email confirmation of your completion.
Log into Keep Safe
Non-UNE employees can access and complete the Part A training via Keep Safe. Contractors and Visitors must first be registered in Keep Safe by their UNE Supervisor.
Engaging a New Contractor or Visitor to Keep Safe
Once registered on Keep Safe:
- Open the Handbook and watch the video
- Complete the Assessment on Keep Safe (link above)
- You will receive email confirmation of your completion
Part B
This is the face-to-face training that is delivered on completion of Part A. It is a practical component and involves demonstrating competency as a Warden.
- EBE will coordinate a number of training sessions throughout the year based upon building precincts (Central, North, South, East, West and Bellevue). Wardens will attend the session allocated for their building and will be contacted in advance.
- When attending the training, Wardens will be required to bring their Warden Vest or request one during the drill (new wardens).
