Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education and Care)
The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education and Care) contains 80 days of professional experience in an early childcare education and care centre.
All Professional Experience must be completed in ACECQA-approved centre-based settings.

Early Childcare Centres
All professional experience placements in an early childhood education and care centre must meet the following requirements to be counted for placement. The early childhood education and care centre must:
- Be a setting approved by ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) that caters for children prior to school age;
- Be using the Early Learning Years Framework (DEEWR, 2009).

This is a ten day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved early childhood education and care setting with children aged birth to five years. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service. EDEC372 Specific Requirements (PDF, 158.3 KB) This is a ten day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved early childhood education and care setting with children aged birth to five years. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service. The Specific Requirements will be released prior to the start of Trimester 2 2024 This is a fifteen day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved early childhood education and care setting broken into 3, 5-day placements. Students undertake five days of placement with infants and five days of placement with toddlers. Then a final five days with children aged 3 to 5 years. This is all outlined in the Specific Requirements. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service. EDEC376 Specific Requirements (PDF, 219.46 KB) This is a fifteen day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved early childhood education and care setting with children aged birth to five years. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service. EDEC377 Specific Requirements (PDF, 190.75 KB) This is a ten day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved early childhood education and care setting with children aged birth to five years. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service. The Specific Requirements will be released prior to the start of Trimester 2 2024 This is a twenty day placement in an ACECQA (meeting or exceeding NQS) approved centre-based early childhood education setting: students undertake five days of placement with infants, and five days of placement with toddlers (Ten days in total with children aged from birth to 35 months) The other ten days with children aged three to five years. This is all outlined in the Specific Requirements. The supervising teacher must be a 4-year early childhood degree qualified staff member as your supervising teacher at the early childhood service.
