If a tutor or student needs to postpone a tutorial session, they are required to provide 24 hours notice to the other party by phone or email. However, if a tutor or student is unable to provide 24 hours notice due to unforeseen circumstances or an emergency, they must provide as much notice as possible by phone or email. If less than one 1 hours notice is given by the student, or no notice is given at all, this is deemed a “No Show”. The tutor may claim a 2 hour “No Show” payment where evidence can be provided that a session was previously agreed to and accepted by the student. The 2 hours claimed will be deducted from the students allocation of tutorial hours for that week. Tutors must notify the student that they will claim a ‘No Show’.

Students and tutors should communicate any “No Shows” to the TTA Program Coordinator as soon as possible where the ‘No Show’ is not communicated to the TTA Program Coordinator and accepted as such, a claim will not be approved for payment.

A TTA tutoring contract will be terminated when a third “No Show” occurs.
