As a Student Ambassador you will have an important role in providing advice and assistance to prospective high school students, through peer-to-peer presentations, and interactions in both online and face-to-face formats. You will support prospective undergraduate and on-campus students.

Student Ambassadors work with the Oorala Aboriginal Centre to promote recruitment, connect with current students and engagement activities. Activities will include school visits, campus experience days, orientation, graduation, UNE Open Day, career markets and local community events.

Student Ambassadors get paid to talk about  their university experience, get the opportunity to travel around NSW and represent Oorala and have the opportunity to develop communication skills, increase confidence and get real world work experience while studying.

"Being a student ambassador has been one of the highlights of my university experience. It is so amazing to work with new and continuing students, to play a role in their transition into university or to support them with their studies. Having the chance to talk to high school students and inspire them to consider University has been exceptionally rewarding. The endless opportunities and experiences as a student ambassador plays a fundamental role in my own career development. "

"It's a fantastic opportunity, I love it and I learn so much about myself. I have had many great opportunities and experiences, talking to high school students about uni life and studying law and arts. Helping future and new students by sharing my experiences and give them tips and tricks that I had to learn . Working at the graduation ceremonies and watching people have brilliant experiences excites me and let's me look forward to when I graduate in a few years."
