Article Processing Charge (APC) discounts

Separate to Read and Publish Agreements, UNE authors have access to APC discounts with Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. A summary of the discounts is provided below.

Elsevier

Titles covered	Elsevier's Core Hybrid journals and fully Open Access (Gold) journals which are excluded from the CAUL negotiated Elsevier Read and Publish Agreement. This includes Gold Open Access Cell Press and Gold Open Access The Lancet titles
APC discount available	15% - the invoice with the discounted APC will be sent to the address nominated by the corresponding author once the article is validated by the Consortium
Author eligibility	The corresponding author needs to be affiliated with UNE. Corresponding authors must specify UNE as their affiliated institution, and use their institutional email address (@une.edu.au)
Article licensing	CC BY, CC BY-NC-ND
Agreement duration	Articles must be acctepted during the agreement term. Agreement is active from 1 January 2023.

Taylor & Francis

Journal publishing type	Taylor & Francis Open Select Hybrid journals
APC discount available	10% - the invoice with the discounted APC will be sent to the corresponding author for payment
Titles covered	Any articles published by an Eligible Author in Open Select (Hybrid) titles which are excluded from the Taylor & Francis Read and Publish Agreement
Author eligibility	The corresponding author needs to be affiliated with UNE. Corresponding authors must use their institutional email address (@une.edu.au)
Agreement duration	Articles must be acctepted during the agreement term. Agreement is active from 1 January 2023.

Royal Society of Chemistry

Journal publishing type	Hybrid journals
APC discount available	15% - the invoice with the discounted APC will be sent to the corresponding author for payment
Titles covered	Royal Society of Chemistry Hybrid journals
Author eligibility	The corresponding author needs to be affiliated with UNE. Corresponding authors must use their institutional email address (@une.edu.au)
Article licensing	CC BY, CC BY-NC
Agreement duration	Articles must be accepted during the agreement term. Agreement is active from 1 January 2022. Continued into 2023.
