In an era of global business transformation and the rise of privatisation, studying Contract Law will equip you with a solid understanding of the journey through a contract, ensuring you have the skills to apply to real-world business scenarios.
This unit examines the legal aspects of obligations arising from agreements or promises and will provide you with a thorough overview of the formation of enforceable contracts, identifying and defining terms, performance, discharge and remedies.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding of the broad theoretical basis of the law of contract and its social context;
- understand and evaluate rules relating to the formation of enforceable contracts, identifying and defining terms, performance, discharge and remedies;
- demonstrate an understanding of the principles of common law, equity and statutory provisions relevant to a contract's interpretation; and
- critically analyse and consolidate the relevant law to identify contract law issues and provide persuasive legal arguments and solutions to fact-based problems.
