Unit information
Quality service provision in healthcare, both for clinicians and healthcare administrators, relies on your ability to manage competing demands and improve outcomes relating to the quality, risk and costs of care.
In the context of clinical and corporate governance, organisational performance and workplace change, expectations are diverse. To produce optimal outcomes, you must be able to balance these expectations, whilst remaining responsive and adaptable in the face of change.
This unit provides you with an essential foundation in the management of quality, risk and cost in healthcare and extends your ability to communicate information and decisions to a variety of stakeholders.
Whether you are a clinician, manager or health service planner, you will be equipped to design, evaluate and implement systems to manage clinical and health service work processes, and monitor performance (including for accreditation).

Good Universities Guide 2024Studying online
At UNE we know it takes more than just being online to be a great online university. It takes time and experience. We pioneered distance education for working adults back in the 1950s, so we’ve been doing this longer than any other Australian university.
We understand the challenges faced by busy adults studying at home. We know that a vital part of online study is your engagement with the learning community. Communication with your classmates, teaching staff and university support staff will enhance your study experience and ensure that your skills extend beyond the subject matter. UNE’s teaching staff are experts in their field which is why UNE consistently receives five stars from students for teaching quality, support and overall experience.*
