Biography

Working closely with academics across faculties at UNE, Trish creates interactive resources such as eBooks, diagrams, animations and a wide variety of engaging graphics utilised in teaching and learning online.

Trish taught graphic design at TAFE for Certificate IV and Diploma level courses for 14 years delivering dynamic and authentic lessons and assessment tasks. She coordinated the Graphics Department, mentored staff, worked with institutes across the state to ensure alignment to standards and compliance were achieved as well as leasing with industry to make certain courses were current and relevant.

Trish has worked as a graphic designer for 30 years in a wide variety of areas: Education, Multi Media, Printing Publishing, and the Leisure Industry (poker machines). She has exhibited landscape paintings in solo and group shows and her creativity has led her into the world of book publishing where she has been published as an author and illustrator in a number of picture books, eBooks and anthologies for children.

As a national and international presenter, Trish also facilitates creative workshops for children and adults for organisations such as UNE, The Examinations Network, the New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM), the New England Writers' Centre, and regional libraries along with many primary and high schools. Trish's ability to connect with children and adults in a way that enables them to learn through play, and delight in their achievements, is a never-ending source of joy for her.
