Biography

Dr Caitlin D’Gluyas is an early career researcher in Australian archaeology, with a focus on the recent past. She has experience as a consultant archaeologist primarily based in New South Wales and maintains industry connections. Her research specialises in studies of landscape archaeology, spatial analysis and young people, including at Point Puer (lutruwita/Tasmania), Norfolk Island and Parramatta (NSW). She is also interested in convict history, more-than-human approaches, post-colonialism, historical archaeological theory and methods, historical artefact analysis and archaeological applications of GIS.
