Biography
As the former Waste Manager for Armidale Regional Council, James brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by regional councils when managing their community’s waste. Over 10 years he implemented award winning food and garden waste collections and composting processing infrastructure; managed the planning, development and construction of a new regional landfill facility; developed and implemented landfill closure plans; managed all aspects of waste and recycling collection and processing services; and was responsible for all environmental regulations and licencing for waste. He was the Executive Officer for Northern Inland Regional Waste (NIRW), Deputy Chair of RENEW, and on the Environmental Trust’s Technical Review Panel for Waste Less Recycle More Composting Infrastructure Grants.
