Making Regional Development Policy Options Clearer
Political resolve to improve economic growth in rural towns is pointless unless local economic data can indicate which industries, or more strictly, clusters of industries, have the greatest potential. The industry clusters approach reflects new knowledge economy influences and requires re-thinking traditional data categories. In this pilot project, UNE provided the intellectual foundations for, and assisted the Tamworth Development Corporation to collect, the required data for Tamworth.
