Physical Campus
UNE is committed to ensuring all students have equal access to learning.
Please note that our Armidale campus is situated on a hill, which can sometimes make accessibility challenging. While we’re continually working to improve access across all campuses, the information below may help you plan your visit to the Armidale campus.

Accessible Parking
There are eighty-three (83) RTA disabled parking bays on campus. Nineteen (19) of these bays are located in the Residential Precinct, and sixty-four (64) are in the Academic Precinct of the Armidale campus.
Please visit the UNE Armidale Campus Map to locate the accessible parking across campus.
The University is able to assist staff and students who have sustained a temporary injury or illness by issuing a Temporary Mobility Permit. This is available to those who may not otherwise be eligible under the RMS Mobility Parking Scheme.
Staff and students can apply for a Temporary Mobility Permit by contacting Parking Administration at (02) 6773 3485 or parking@une.edu.au. The office is located at in the Union Building, C018, adjacent to the central courtyard in the Academic Precinct.
Support Workers/Carers on Campus
If you are bringing a support person on campus, whether it is through an NDIS-provider or a private carer or chaperone, they need to complete a Work, Health and Safety (WHS) induction as a Visitor (see section on Visitors and Volunteers).
The system that the induction is in is the University’s Safety Management System, called Keep Safe. Your unit coordinator/host or supervisor can request access to Keep Safe on your support person’s behalf.
For any queries about this requirement, please contact the Work, Health and Safety Team.
