University Study Hubs

University Study Hubs provide welcoming, inclusive spaces and professional support specifically designed to recognise the unique challenges students face in regional, remote, and outer-metropolitan areas.
While these hubs are government-funded, they are led by the local community. This ensures each hub is unique and tailored to the specific needs of the students in that area. UNE works closely with these local providers to ensure our students receive up-to-date support and the resources they need to succeed locally.
It is important to note that the hubs are not education providers like UNE; instead, they are designed to complement your studies by making it easier to access learning resources, connect with other students, and stay on track with your degree.
Facilities and support services

Because each hub is shaped by its community, the specific facilities available can vary. Most centres offer a range of services which may include:

  • Quiet study spaces and breakout areas
  • High-speed internet and IT equipment
  • Academic skills and administrative support
  • After-hours access for flexible study
  • Wellbeing support and career advice
  • Kitchenette facilities
Who can use a hub?

If you are a domestic student enrolled with UNE, you are eligible to register for free access to these facilities.

Eligibility requirements and registration processes are managed locally. You can find specific details on the individual website for each hub.

Growing the network

The Australian Government is currently expanding this model to more locations across the country. There are currently 70 hubs available, with more planned to ensure students can access the support they need, wherever they choose to live and study.
