Wellness Centre
The University of New England's Student Wellness Centre is here to provide personalised mental health support, equity and accessibility support, and study support.

Focus your learning with Kumo Study
Kumo Study is a digital suite of executive functioning tools designed for ADHD and neurodivergent students. It’s built to support challenges like managing deadlines, getting started on tasks, staying focused, and switching between priorities. The platform includes tools to plan, prioritise, and keep on track, along with a sensory profile setup that tailors your study environment to how your brain works best. Think of it as a study toolkit you can open up anytime you need structure, focus, or a bit more calm while studying.
Mental Health Support
The Counselling and Psychology Service (CAPS) is here to provide a safe space for currently enrolled students to access one on one support to help navigate personal issues that are impacting on your studies and improve your mental wellbeing.
We offer individual counselling and study gym sessions to discuss how you are feeling, develop tools and strategies to help with managing personal challenges, reduce stress, and to build skills to tackle procrastination, exam worry and balancing your studies with other responsibilities.
How do I book a CAPS appointment?

Equity & Accessibility Support
The Student Accessibility and Wellbeing Office (SAWO) is here to create an inclusive learning environment for UNE’s diverse student body by supporting students to overcome barriers to their university education.
SAWO coordinates services and support for various student groups, including those:
- with a disability and/or health condition
- who are carers
- victim-survivors of domestic violence
- residing in rural and remote areas
- incarcerated
- on permanent humanitarian visas
- members of the defence force and emergency services
- elite athletes
We will work with you to develop a Study Access Plan (SAP) that outlines reasonable adjustments to allow equal access and participation in university life.
Study Support - Because life happens
Studying at UNE can be a rewarding and inspiring opportunity, and yet we also recognise that most students experience other responsibilities and life events that make study complicated. The UNE Course Advising Team is available to work with you through these complexities, offering confidential, student-led conversations. We work with students to understand their unique circumstances and goals, and plan for course completion.
Reasons you might contact us:
- You are experiencing challenges that are impacting your ability to complete your studies
- You anticipate that you might experience challenges
- You would like guidance on how to navigate the UNE environment to reach your goals
- You are uncertain that your program is going to meet your study, career or life goals
- You have received a completion rate notification (Academic Improvement Plan - AIP, notification of probation, notice of completion rate below 75%) and would like to discuss working towards the completion of your degree and the resources available to you
