What is Peer Assistance?
Peer Assistance is when a fellow student shares their experience to help you improve your student experience.
What Peer Assistance services does UNE offer?
UNE has two types of academic peer assistance service for students: PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) and PAM (Peer Academic Mentoring). Both options are free for UNE students and offer you the chance to meet other students in a friendly and informal setting.
PASS is a unit-specific, group online study session, whereas PAM is academic-focused support that's available for all undergraduate students via a one-on-one online appointment.
PASS@UNE services are funded by NBF (Needs Based Funding).

PASS - Peer Assisted Study Sessions
PASS offers regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer-facilitated study sessions. Delivered through Zoom with select offerings on campus, PASS sessions are an informal space where students study together. It can help you feel more connected to your studies and the university and take away some of the isolation of studying alone. -
PAM - Peer Academic Mentoring
PAM is an opportunity to talk one-on-one in real time with a fellow student, 7-days a week. Meet with a Mentor to sound out your ideas or ask questions about specific UNE student resources. Our friendly Mentors are also experienced PASS Leaders who are trained to help you breakdown your questions in order to find solutions. As they are also fellow students, they understand the pressures of student life and are there to help you feel more connected to UNE.
Commercial academic contract cheating services are illegal in Australia. They are damaging to Higher Education and cheat students out of more than just their degree.
