Public transport to the University

The UNE Safety Shuttle operates during the trimester and official intensive periods, providing students with a convenient and secure way to travel between campus, residential colleges and the Armidale City Centre.

To use the service, you'll need a valid student ID. The shuttle stops only at approved locations and does not operate on public holidays. The easiest way to plan your trip or track the Shuttle Bus is with the UNE Safe App. For full details on the UNE Safety Shuttle, including stop locations and updates, visit our UNE Safety Shuttle webpage.

We advise candidates to ring and book a taxi on Friday night. The taxi ride would be no more than about 10 minutes from anywhere in town, and costs between $15 -$20.

There are buses from the University into town departing 1:00, 2:00 and 5:05pm from the Northern Carpark.
