Week 11 – halfway celebration!

Published 18 October 2023

Well, I missed a couple of weeks of this blog simply because I got too busy. We had some uni assignments due, including our Capstone research project and, on top of our Clinic load, there was not even a smidgen of time left for blog-writing. It really was that busy.

Week 11 was marked by two significant events. Firstly, having completed Week 10 of Clinic, we had a wonderful celebration of our halfway mark. Some of our lecturers were able to join us for a special morning tea and it was lovely to catch up with them, as well as spend some social time together.

The second event that marked Week 11 was a bit of a disappointment for the cohort. We had hoped to be part of a research project being undertaken by the Psychology School where we would be working with adolescents on improving their mental health. This research is quite exciting as it looks to building resilience in young people through positive experiences. Unfortunately, this research project met with unexpected delays, meaning that we were not able to take part, but hopefully it can continue at a later date, which will be great, even if we can’t be involved.
