Time for Change Space Request

Resulting from the Time for Change organisational restructure, EBE are receiving numerous requests to reconfigure or change space to suit new team structures. EBE have developed the following checklist for staff that relates to these requests and outlines what requests are able to be actioned by EBE at the moment.

Existing staff member movement within existing division space - no works by EBE

Existing staff member 1 swaps desks with existing staff member 2 within the same Division.

Existing staff move within existing division space - relocation of furniture required by EBE

Existing staff member A swaps desks with existing staff member B within the same Division – relocating staff member task chair based on WHS requirements

Request furniture relocation from EBE, outlining basis of why furniture needs to be moved.

EBE to review need to relocate furniture and if approved, update data in space module as required

New staff member accommodation - Allocate space

New staff member to be allocated work area.

Division Executive

Confirm new staff member commencement date and staff details, i.e. position, work area requirements, team details

EBE to review request and identify space to allocate to new staff member.

- Staff member to be located in existing spare workstation

- Staff member to be located with their team if possible

- Allocation should not create additional staff movement

Existing staff member relocation outside existing area

Team A from People & Culture to swap areas with Team B from Finance. These teams are not within the same division.

Not Applicable.

Move requests across different divisions  are not currently approved to be undertaken

Advise EBE of requested staff relocations, outlining proposed benefit, i.e. co-locating of teams.

EBE will log request and undertake a more holistic review of space on campus incorporating the requirements of the new organisational structure during 2021.

Reconfigure existing space - Where construction works are required

Reconfigure existing open plan staff area to accommodate additional staff members than are currently accommodated.

Not Applicable.

Move requests requiring reconfiguration of space or any construction works are not currently approved to be undertaken

Advise EBE of requested works or space reconfiguration, outlining proposed benefit, i.e. co-locating of teams.

EBE will log request and undertake a more holistic review of space on campus incorporating the requirements of the new organisational structure during 2021.
