Short courses

The Centre has provided short courses on agribusiness analytic subjects. These courses are purpose-built and draw on expertise from UNE. They are designed and conducted in partnership with sponsoring agencies.

International Agribusiness Study Tours

Since 2014 the Centre has been supporting UNE students and affiliated young professionals on international agribusiness study tours. These 3-week tours typically visit two countries and feature attendance at the annual conference of the International Food and Agribusiness Association (IFAMA). This conference is held on a different continent each year.

A number of students have in the past taken the opportunity to compete in IFAMA’s International Agribusiness Case Study Competition, and UNE has produced a significant number of winning teams against rival teams from around the World.

The study tours are packaged as a 6-credit unit of study which includes instruction and applications in so-called CASE STUDY learning. The unit is run in Trimester 1 of each year and the study tour is in June-July. Flexible assessment structures are offered.

Further information on the 2022 study tour will be provided during Trimester 2, 2021.
