Unit information
This unit completes the learnings from HSSW111, HSSW222 and HSSW333, and incorporates your intervention and skill development as you near the end of your degree.
During this unit, you will simulate the skills required for interventions in social work practice and understand how high-level teamwork alongside interdisciplinary practice helps to achieve positive client outcomes.
You will continue to reinforce and refine your communication, teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Throughout this unit, you will develop your understanding of the role and function of social work interventions, along with your ability to demonstrate interventions in a simulated setting. Additionally, you will demonstrate your ongoing reflexive practice skills via BSW or MSW-Q pathways, and continue to contribute to your e-portfolio.

Good Universities Guide 2024Studying online
At UNE we know it takes more than just being online to be a great online university. It takes time and experience. We pioneered distance education for working adults back in the 1950s, so we’ve been doing this longer than any other Australian university.
We understand the challenges faced by busy adults studying at home. We know that a vital part of online study is your engagement with the learning community. Communication with your classmates, teaching staff and university support staff will enhance your study experience and ensure that your skills extend beyond the subject matter. UNE’s teaching staff are experts in their field which is why UNE consistently receives five stars from students for teaching quality, support and overall experience.*
