Unit information
Every form of care requires striking a balance between what’s best for the client and what’s possible given limited resources.
Studying this unit will equip you with the knowledge and skills required as an Allied Health/Community Services professional to optimise outcomes in case management of clients with complex needs.
You will focus on identifying, prioritising, justifying and implementing case management strategies that make best use of limited resources while also facilitating favourable outcomes individually tailored for specific client requirements.
Developing strong leadership skills in case management practice, you will hone your communication skills to effectively share information on practical issues of case management with professional colleagues, and advocate for your clients.
Working independently, you will also learn to plan and provide appropriate services to promote the wellbeing and welfare of clients with complex needs.

Good Universities Guide 2024Studying online
At UNE we know it takes more than just being online to be a great online university. It takes time and experience. We pioneered distance education for working adults back in the 1950s, so we’ve been doing this longer than any other Australian university.
We understand the challenges faced by busy adults studying at home. We know that a vital part of online study is your engagement with the learning community. Communication with your classmates, teaching staff and university support staff will enhance your study experience and ensure that your skills extend beyond the subject matter. UNE’s teaching staff are experts in their field which is why UNE consistently receives five stars from students for teaching quality, support and overall experience.*
