Your safety is our priority at UNE. Whether you’re studying late, attending events, or heading home, these personal safety tips can help you stay secure and confident on and around campus. By taking simple precautions and using the safety resources available, you can focus on what matters most—your UNE experience.

Travel in pairs or groups whenever possible.
If you think you’re being followed, find a safe place and call UNE Life Safety, Security & Information
Use the Student Safety Shuttle or request a staff/student escort by calling 02 6773 2099 or through the UNE Safe App.
Familiarise yourself with the UNE Life Safety, Security & Information offices and Help Phone locations.
Report any incidents or suspicious activity to UNE Life Safety, Security & Information.
Use the UNE Safe App for live Shuttle Bus tracking, Security Pick-Up or escort.
Try the Friend Walk feature on the UNE Safe App to let someone track your walk in real time.
