Research Interests

Dr Silvas' research interests include Classical and Semitic Linguistics, Patristics, Ascetical and Mystical Theology, and Church History with particular interest in the late Fourth century AD and Cappadocian Fathers. Her expertise in late antiquity has expanded from the Greek and Latin speaking worlds into the Syriac speaking world of the Near East.
