More than a building

To the surprise of all my friends who were so eager to get out of town, I...moved across the road, to live at Earle Page College. It was the best decision of my life, and I would do it all again in a second... A college is so much more than just somewhere to sleep and eat.

Matt Ryan, Earle Page College resident.

University campus

The UNE campus is situated on 74 hectares of heritage parklands, overlooking the beautiful city of Armidale. All classes, residences and recreational facilities are within easy walking distance from each other. Anywhere on campus, you're only 5–10 minutes bus/bike ride from Armidale's city centre.

Sport is a big part of UNE and the wider Armidale community in general. The area boasts 34 hectares of sporting ovals and playing fields, and a vast array of indoor and outdoor sporting and recreation facilities. Rugby union, rugby league, football, Aussie rules, basketball, netball, volleyball, cricket, hockey, archery, rowing, kayaking, bowling, squash, tennis, gymnastics, martial arts, equestrian events and many other sports are all played here. The surrounding national parks also offer an array of exciting activities including abseiling, mountaineering, orienteering and bushwalking.
