Raising Concerns and Reporting Non-Compliance
UNE staff and students can raise concerns about potential foreign interference (FI) through both internal and national reporting channels.
Internal reporting
Internally, UNE encourages staff and students to report suspected breaches or risks via the UNE Breach Reporting System, accessible at UNE Compliance Breach Reporting. This system ensures that concerns are directed to the appropriate university area for prompt investigation and resolution.
External and national reporting
For matters requiring national-level attention, staff and students can contact the National Security Hotline. This service allows individuals to report suspicious activities or potential foreign interference directly to Australia’s security agencies. The hotline is available 24/7 and can be reached at 1800 123 400 within Australia or (+61) 1300 1234 01 from overseas. Reports can also be submitted via email at hotline@nationalsecurity.gov.au.
