UNE has developed a return-to-campus roadmap that acknowledges the government’s planned easing of restrictions and ensures all of UNE’s campus services, retail outlets and recreational activities are compliant.

Oorala Front EntranceThe Oorala Aboriginal Centre is an architect designed rammed earth building and offers a lecture theatre and large central foyer area where events such as Graduation Sashing Ceremonies, NAIDOC week and community lunches and other engagements are held.

The Reception is located off the large central foyer area where the Director, the Academic staff and Student Services Team are situated. The Oorala Centre's  Schools and Community Engagement Team, Facilities and Resource Management and
Media and Events is found in an open office space to the right

On Campus Students

The student study area provides a quiet place to study and includes:

  • a large number of computers available with internet access
  • printing facilities
  • free Wi-Fi
  • three small study areas for tutorial or group workOorala Courtyard featuring BackTrack kangaroo
  • a kitchen.

We also have a grassed courtyard and a BBQ area.

Covid-19 restrictions are well signed throughout the facilities and we ask all who visit to be respectful of this.

Online Students

The Centre  provides support for online students. Study Assistants can use the computers here to provide assistance via Skype and our Student Experience Team is always ready to take calls providing advice and support.
