UNE Residential Code of Conduct

Within the process of accepting your Offer of Accommodation you have acknowledged your understanding of the UNE Residential Code of Conduct.
Please ensure that you have fully read and understood all sections of this Code of Conduct, including policies around noise, alcohol, illicit drugs, social media and safe, respectful relationships.

Residential Colleges Office Staff

Office staff are located on site at the College and will provide all the support you need when it comes to checking in/out, accommodation and account queries options and collecting daily mail.

Electrical Items

What to bring: Bar Fridge (maximum 66cm high), Computer, power board (must have surge control), small fan and personal electrical items. If they’re more than 2 years old, please make sure the items are tested and tagged by a qualified electrician.
What NOT to bring: Microwave, kettle, toaster, iron. These are all provided in kitchenettes and the communal kitchen.

Academic Gowns

A gown can be collected on your arrival day and the cost will be added to your Accommodation Account.

In case of Emergency

Fire Alarms are located in every bedroom & communal area within the College. They are very sensitive and are activated by smoke, heat and aerosols.
Please be aware that cooking is prohibited within your room—You can use the kitchens and kitchenettes when needed.

In the event of an emergency, please:

  • Evacuate the building immediately
  • Do not stop to get personal items
  • Go to the designated safe area & wait for the Fire Brigade
  • Do not return to the building until instructed to do so by the Fire Brigade or a Resident Leader who are your fire wardens.
