At the Centre for Animal Research and Teaching (CART), the welfare of animals is our highest priority. We aim to provide high quality care for our animals, and promote the highest standards of animal welfare in the conduct of research and teaching at the University of New England We aim to foster a culture of excellence and compassion with regards to all aspects of animal-related teaching and research.

Joining CART in 2019, Justin is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the centre. Justin is a registered veterinarian with a PhD in ruminant parasitology.

Joining CART in 2021, Sarah is responsible for the veterinary care of the teaching, research and farm animals at UNE and works closely with the UNE Animal Ethics Committee. Outside of work Sarah enjoys snow skiing, and shares this hobby with her young family (excluding Coco, the rescue greyhound).
