About us
The UNE Ruminant Research Group is focused on three main objectives:
Ethical livestock production: Our research aims to improve and build upon high animal welfare standards.
Efficient livestock production: By improving efficiency in livestock production we can reduce waste and improve the quality of production while reducing the impact on the environment and the health and welfare of the animals.
Sustainable livestock production: A key focus for our research, ensuring the viability of livestock industries into the future.
Our scientific staff, post-doctoral researchers and higher degree research students work on a diverse range of projects along with industry and government collaborators.
