A lot of people whom I look up to as mentors all have some form of involvement in agriculture and/or the rural environment, and have inspired me to pursue a career in the agricultural industry.
UNE offered me so many opportunities. The highlight was travelling around Qld and NSW expanding my education through agricultural groups and conferences.
As I began my degree, my knowledge of the agricultural industry expanded and I became interested in all the possible career outcomes that my degree could lead to.
The agriculture industry is predicted to grow by 11.5% by 2033, according to the Australian Government employment projections. This makes it the perfect time to upskill or pivot your career, ensuring you're future-fit to take advantage of the predicted 29,800 new jobs expected in this vital sector.
