Internal Selection Program

Cassie YatesAre you someone with professional work or community experience?  Perhaps you have worked in an industry for some time, but don’t yet have any formal qualifications to match your experience? Maybe you hold several formal qualifications but are not sure if they qualify you for entry to university.

The Internal Selection on Program (ISP) is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with professional work or community experience and any formal qualifications from TAFE or other training providers.  The Oorala Aboriginal Centre will work with you to determine your readiness to enrol in higher education at the University of New England.

Due to the Australia-wide Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently offering an online assessment program which will include:

  1. Assessment of your application
  2. A copy of your Curriculum Vitae (Resume)
  3. Evidence of previous school study
  4. Evidence of any prior learning you think is applicable to the university course you wish to study (if applicable)
  5. Evidence of relevant professional experience (if applicable)
  6. Transcripts from TAFE/College/University (if applicable)
  7. One (1) reference from a referee who is not related to you
  8. Submission of a Personal Statement
  9. A short online interview with Oorala representatives via Zoom
