New Wifi at UNE

Technology and Digital Services (TDS) are in the process of replacing the existing wireless network, which has been in service for 11 years.

The new wireless network will utilise more modern security protocols and support faster speeds, increasing security and productivity for staff, students and affiliates.

What's Different?

The rollout includes cabling contractors replacing the old access points in each room and building. Disruptions will be minimal to your network access.

You will still be able to connect to eduroam, and still in the same way you always have; login with your UNE email and your UNE password. Refer to these IT Service Portal articles for information connecting to eduroam with your device:

Windows | MacOS| Android | iOS

You will also notice a few new network SSIDs coming up along with eduroam:

UNE-Guest is replacing the old UNEGuest network, available upon request for events.

UNE-Residencies is a new SSID available for UNE students residing on-campus, who wish to connect devices that are not compatible with eduroam's authentication protocol.

UNE-IoT is a new SSID available for staff members utilising IoT devices on-campus.

The use of each network will need to be requested via the IT Service Portal.
