Welcome to the UNE Tamworth community! UNE Tamworth facilities, services and resources are available to all students living in, studying from or visiting the Tamworth region.
Starting university is a big step, and we're here to ensure your transition into study is as smooth as possible. At UNE Tamworth, we understand the challenge of studying online, whether you're balancing work and family, returning to study after time away, or starting your first steps into higher education. So, we've designed a range of ways to meet you where you're at and build your confidence as you prepare for teaching to begin.
Join us at UNE Tamworth Orientation Day – XX
This is your chance to meet the UNE Tamworth team face-to-face and connect with the academic and support staff who'll be with you throughout your studies. There are no presentations or slideshows—this is all about you. Chat with academics from Nursing, Education, Law, Exercise and Sport Science, and more. Ask whatever questions matter to you, get answers in real time, and start building your network right here in Tamworth. You'll also have the opportunity to explore study schedules, learn about academic assistance available to you, connect with community groups who can support you during your studies, and grab some UNE Tamworth merch.
Getting Started Session – Monday, XX with Q&A time following
On the day teaching begins, we're running a Getting Started Session to help you kick off your studies strong. You'll get an overview of the support available in Tamworth and online, plus practical how-to guidance on scheduling, academic assistance, and making the most of your first trimester. This session runs in-person and online, and will be recorded for you to access anytime through UNE Tamworth’s myLearn.
Oorala Getting Started Session – XX
UNE Tamworth is joining with Oorala, UNE’s Indigenous Students' Centre, for a Getting Started Session for Tamworth Indigenous students. This session will introduce you to the supports available through Oorala and connect you with UNE Tamworth's Indigenous students' study group, where you can meet peers, access academic support, and be part of a culturally affirming community.
